Continuum of All That Is

I delight in knowing we have found one another
you and I.
We bring each other up
in a true and loving light.

In the subtleness
of air moving through the leaves
and grass on a calm day.

The sunshine and moonshine
The warm ray of the sun
warming us all.

I delight in greeting companions
and how they respond in reflection.
How the flavor of tomato basil soup
reflects a dimension unknown.

I delight in seeing the world move along
in a continuum of all that is.

Dare

Feel as me forever more
but gently sleep in peace.
Live like the doves sing
Glow like the sun shines
Flow like the thoughts stream
And dare, dare to dream

We live, we die, we go bye bye
But first we see there is you and I
Rolling, moving, standing still
Sleeping, winking, knowing the will
Forever and ever and ever
No there is more to to you
To you and you and you here
And there on what where?

Question in the Sand

Cuts the soul from the earth
and the earth says, “Go free, fly.”

But where to fly and do we land
There is the question in the sand

Glimpses of joy bubble up
only to burst and flicker

Where there is no one but you and me
The trees hold us gently in the breeze
Sadness goes to and fro
And the swing is empty don’t you know

The simple wonders of the fly
landing here and swatted flat.

Twinkling

Twinkling above
see below
the comfort arises never too low
far away the twilight stays
forever tomorrow until she dies

Around her the small ones,
the dear ones
they all gather
wondering why she does not share
the endearing love that she holds
down in the deepness so dark and tranquil

There is no more sadness
but only gladness

Gentle

On the water so still
the dream faded
and into the darkness
the fear took hold.

And the life was taken
inside we know
but do not remember
the source of kindness
and gentle joy.

Look around,
be found
sit in stillness
life moving all around
until we trust
to join the crowd.

Firefly

I dare not blunder
the pain, the wonder
go here go there
into the night,
the dark, dark night
and wonder if
the fireflies know
where the children take them
not malicious
but delicious
is their laughter forever after.

Confusion

Confusion
anger
lonesome being

Fearful
shaking
never breaking

Some smile
only when greed lurks
beneath the surface
grasping
growling

Some give
only for the glory
boasting the story
of a light falsely glowing

Some serve
only to avoid the torture
with fear and indenture
never given, only taken

Some awaken
only to a glaring solitude
of the unforsaken
numbing dose of lies

Some seek to fix
only to damage beyond repair
by taking the very substance
of which helps us dance

Some laugh
only to hide
the seeking
of connection
and yearning of affection
